Syirik: Danyang Laut Selatan

Said returns to his village after years of studying at an Islamic boarding school. His return uncovers a veil of mystery, as his village has become entangled in mystical beliefs. A series of strange occurrences threatens the safety of those closest to Said, especially Sari, his childhood sweetheart. However, their relationship is hindered by Sari`s mother, Santika, who is determined to make Sari the lead dancer in the village`s rituals. Meanwhile, Ningsih, who aspires to take the lead dancer`s place, is willing to do anything - including using black magic - to threaten Sari.
