Synopsis

Manuel Bortuzzo is a promising young swimmer, he recently moved to Rome to compete with the best members of the Italian national team and one day he manages to get the record that will lead him to the Olympics. In the pool he also met Martina, a young synchronized swimmer. It’s love at first sight between the two: a romantic and all-encompassing love. They have their first real date on a friend's birthday, they laugh, flirt, and dance slowly together for the first time. Dreams are finally coming true. The boy's life changes completely a few hours later: he becomes the innocent and unwitting victim of a settling of scores between thugs. Two gunshots aimed at the wrong person. He wasn't the target. The young man ends up in a wheelchair. His career seems to be over and the dream of participating in the Olympics is gone forever. After much suffering, despair, and anger, the young athlete finds the strength to move forward and be reborn within himself. He’s always looking for new challenges, finding new interests. He studies music and participates in many meetings, especially with young people, to talk about disability issues. In this long journey to regain possession of his life, he learns to know himself better, discovering that he has changed. But one dream remained for the foreseeable future, to be able to walk and dance again with his love.
