Synopsis
1939. A young Ukrainian-American man, Yaro, travels from the United States to the Carpathians Mountains with an unusual mission: to inherit his wealthy father's fortune, he must marry a genuine Ukrainian woman. As he navigates an unfamiliar world of traditions, music, and mountain life, he meets a captivating Hutsul girl, Ksenya, and has to rethink his plan. What begins as a quest for an inheritance gradually becomes a journey of self-discovery, identity, and love.
