About Malaysia International Film Festival 2025
GSC International Screens is proud to present the highly anticipated 8th edition of The Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest), set to take place from 20 to 27 July 2025. Staying true to its mission as a cultural bridge between Malaysian and global cinema, this year’s MIFFest places a spotlight on bold, diverse, and impactful storytelling from around the world.
This year, the festival proudly unveils 56 films from 48 countries, presented in over 40 languages, a stunning tapestry of storytelling from every corner of the world. With World Premieres, Asian Premieres, Southeast Asian Premieres, and a record breaking of 38 Malaysian Premieres, MIFFest continues to champion cross-cultural dialogue and position Malaysia as a rising epicenter for international film appreciation.
Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, The European Union Film Festival (EUFF) will be running parallel to MIFFEST, showcasing the best of European cinema, adding onto the already rich selection of curated films from all over the world for movie buffs and film lovers to enjoy on the big screen.
Amongst the highlights of this 8th edition, MIFFEST celebrates the works of Raj Kapoor from India and Ti Lung from Hong Kong, showcasing their breakthrough films that had left a lasting impression in cinema. As this year’s Actor in Focus – Reza Rahadian , MIFFEST will feature 2 of his feature films, as well as a special highlight on Indian Women Filmmakers, by extraordinary women directors.
Apart from movie screenings, there will also be Masterclass sessions and post film screening Q&A sessions with the filmmakers on selected film screenings throughout the Festival.
With a bold new spirit and a diverse lineup, MIFFest 2025 promises a cinematic journey that’s immersive, inspiring, and unforgettable.

Ticketing Information
• Tickets are priced at RM15 except Taste of Freedom which is complimentary.
• Tickets are available via GSC ticketing kiosks and GSC e-payment platforms (website and mobile app).
• All tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable, and cannot be sold, redeemed, or exchanged for cash.
• GSC Rewards points are not applicable for film festival screenings.

Please be advised that during the Film Festival screenings, certain films may contain scenes that will be manually blocked in accordance with censorship requirements issued by the Film Censorship Board, Ministry of Home Affairs, in compliance with Malaysian censorship guidelines.
Some festival films may be presented in formats that differ from contemporary commercial standards, as they reflect the original version or artistic intent of the work.
