Japanese Film Festival (JFF) 2025

The Japanese Film Festival (JFF) is back — bigger, bolder, and brighter in 2025! From 10 September to 19 October, catch the finest of Japanese cinema at selected GSC cinemas across Malaysia.

A collaboration between The Japan Foundation and GSC International Screens, this year’s festival presents a rich and diverse program that cinephiles can’t miss. There will also be a special screening of “Northern Food Story” and “Diamonds in the Sand” followed by panel discussion. 

The line-up features the highly anticipated Sunset Sunrise starring Masaki Suda, delectable foodie delights like The Solitary Gourmet. Fans of suspense can also look forward to Showtime 7, headlined by the renowned Abe Hiroshi — plus many more captivating titles.

Tickets for JFF 2025 are priced at just RM10.00, except The Solitary Gourmet, which will be sold at prevailing ticket prices.

  • Some festival films may be presented in formats that differ from contemporary commercial standards, as they reflect the original version or artistic intent of the filmmakers.
  • GSC Rewards points are not applicable for film festival screenings.
