Iranian Film Festival 2026

The 4th Iranian Film Festival 2026, organised by the Cultural Centre of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kuala Lumpur, with the support of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Malaysia, and in collaboration with GSC International Screens and the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), continues its mission of strengthening cultural dialogue and people-to-people connections between Iran and Malaysia. This annual cultural event celebrates the artistic excellence of Iranian cinema and offers Malaysian audiences a deeper insight into Iran’s rich cultural, social, and human narratives through film.

Come and experience the diverse and captivating storytelling from Iranian Cinema’s talented and acclaimed directors on the big screen, including acclaimed director Majid Majidi’s film ‘The Weeping Willow’, “Dreamland” an animated adventure film for the entire family, “Ahmad” a thrilling rescue drama set against the catastrophic 2003 earthquake incident at Bam Airport as well as “The West Sky” a cinematic tribute to pilot martyr Ali Akbar Shiroudi, inspired by his heroism during the war in Western Iran.

FREE SCREENINGS of the 6 acclaimed Iranian movies will be held exclusively at GSC Mid Valley Megamall, GSC MyTown, GSC Paradigm JB, Johor Bahru & GSC Suria Sabah, Kota Kinabalu from 6th – 8th Feb 2026.

Tickets for the Iranian Film Festival are FREE of charge and are redeemable 1 hour prior to each movie’s showtime on a first-come, first-served basis.

1. Tickets for the Iranian Film Festival 2026 are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be resold or redeemed for cash. They are also not valid in conjunction with any current or ongoing promotions.

2. All tickets are FREE and are redeemable 1 hour before each movie’s showtime on a first-come, first-served basis at the 4 participating cinemas.
